My Thoughts: This was cute. I always love a twin story.
Canada has a prince, who knew!? I wasn't expecting that.We also have a Montana Cowboy. I also was intrigued by the long-lost twin angle. They were definitely fun ideas to add to this story.
I enjoyed reading this story. It was fun.

Desperate to protect her home, Naira convinces her twin brother Nez and handsome refugee Kal to join the newly formed resistance with her. Together, they’ll have to figure out what the Mistress wants—before there’s nothing left of Lagusa to save. (Synopsis from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: I love stories like this. As soon as I saw the cover, I was sold. I loved the world that this was set in. It was really well done.
This was a great start to a duology. It's the kind of YA Fantasy that you always want to read.
I really enjoyed the main character of Naira and her family. She could be a little rash sometimes, but she was determined to do all she could to save her home.
I had a good time with this story, and I could see other people having a good time reading it too.

Synopsis:  Twin sisters, both on the run, but different as day and night. One, a professional rogue, searches for a fabled treasure; the other, a changeling, searches for the truth behind her origins, trying to find a place to fit in with the realm of fae who made her and the humans who shun her.

When Seelie and Isolde are caught up in a heist gone wrong and make some unexpected allies, they find themselves unraveling a larger mystery that has its roots in the history of humans and fae alike.
Both sisters soon discover that the secrets of the faeries may be more valuable than any pile of gold and jewels. But can Seelie harness her magic in time to protect her sister, and herself? (Synopsis from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: As soon as I read the synopsis and saw the cover, I knew I wanted to read Unseelie. I cannot say no to a fae story. I really enjoyed this one. It gave me everything I wanted.
I liked the twin aspect. I also enjoyed reading from a character who has autism.
I just really enjoyed the story overall. I'm glad I got to read it.

Synopsis: She’s brilliant, beautiful…and tired of being the only Black woman in the room.
Two years ago, Kennedy Mitchell was plucked from the reception desk and placed in the corporate boardroom in the name of diversity. Rather than play along, she and her best friend founded Token, a boutique PR agency that helps “diversity-challenged” companies and celebrities. With corporate America diversifying workplaces and famous people getting into reputation-damaging controversies, Token is in high demand.

Kennedy quickly discovers there’s a lot of on-the-job learning and some messes are not so easily fixed. When Kennedy’s ex shows up needing help repairing his company’s reputation, things get even more complicated. She knows his character is being wrongly maligned, but she’s reluctant to get involved—professionally and emotionally. But soon, she finds herself drawn into a PR scandal of her own. (Synopsis from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this one. This reminded me a little bit of the television show Scandal. Kennedy runs a company that works to fix problems. Things get complicated when her ex shows up needing help.
I really enjoyed watching Kennedy do her job, watching her navigate all the problems. I also really enjoyed the romance in this story. Very satisfying.
This is an easy add to your TBR. I think a lot of people will like it.

Synopsis: Seven months ago, Pallas Llewellyn, Talia March, and Amelia Rivers were strangers, until their fateful stay at the Lucent Springs Hotel. An earthquake and a fire partially destroyed the hotel, but the women have no memory of their time there. Now close friends, the three women co-host a podcast called the Lost Night Files, where they investigate cold cases and hope to connect with others who may have had a similar experience to theirs—an experience that has somehow enhanced the psychic abilities already present in each woman.
After receiving a tip for their podcast, Pallas travels to the small college town of Carnelian, California, to explore an abandoned asylum. Shaken by the dark energy she feels in the building, she is rushing out when she’s stopped by a dark figure—who turns out to be the women's mysterious tipster.
Ambrose Drake is certain he’s a witness to a murder, but without a body, everyone thinks he’s having delusions caused by extreme sleep deprivation. But Ambrose is positive something terrible happened at the Carnelian Sleep Institute the night he was there. Unable to find proof on his own, he approaches Pallas for help, only for her to realize that Ambrose, too, has a lost night that he can’t remember—one that may be connected to Pallas. Pallas and Ambrose conduct their investigation using the podcast as a cover, and while the townsfolk are eager to share what they know, it turns out there are others who are not so happy about their questions—and someone is willing to kill to keep the truth from coming out. (Synopsis from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: This synopsis has a lot of buzzwords for me, psychic abilities, a disaster these women can't remember, a cold case podcasts, and an abandoned asylum. It was an easy decision to decided to read this one.
This is the first book in a new series by Jayne Ann Krentz. I love new series. I'm bad at finishing series, but I do love starting them.
I had a lot of fun reading this. It combined so many elements that I love reading. It had a slow burn romance that was satisfying.
It was a little hard for me to accept the name Pallas, and not think of another word that is very close to it ;)
I really enjoyed this one and can't wait to see what comes next in the series.

Synopsis: Cameron Carson has a secret. A secret with the power to break apart his friend group.
Cameron Carson, member of the Geeks and Nerds United (GANU) club, has been secretly hooking up with student council president, cheerleader, theater enthusiast, and all-around queen bee Karla Ortega since the summer. The one problem—what was meant to be a summer fling between coffee shop coworkers has now evolved into a clandestine senior-year entanglement, where Karla isn’t intending on blending their friend groups anytime soon, or at all.
Enter Mackenzie Briggs, who isn’t afraid to be herself or wear her heart on her sleeve. When Cameron finds himself unexpectedly bonding with Mackenzie and repeatedly snubbed in public by Karla, he starts to wonder who he can truly consider a friend and who might have the potential to become more… (Synopsis from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: This was a fun way to start off the new year. Contemporary is not a genre that I reach for all the time, so it's always nice to jump into one.
This was cute! I enjoyed my time reading it. It had a lot of nerdy things in it, which I enjoy. This was just a good time to read.
It definitely felt like one of those high school stories. There was drama and friendship. I won't say anything in it was truly unique, but it was what you would want from this kind of contemporary story. I could see a lot of people enjoying this one.
