I've been really lazy with my blog this week. I just haven't felt like turning on my computer when I get home from work. It also was okay because I didn't have any Blog Tours or posts that I was scheduled to do. January has also started off a little slow for me reading wise. I'm sure things will pick up though.
So, what I've been Reading Right Now! is...
Wings of Ebony (#1) by J. Elle -- I've had my eye on this one for a while, just because it's been so hyped. I was also lucky enough to win the sequel in a giveaway, so I knew I needed to read it.
So far, I just think this is okay. I'm finding that I don't like the order the story is told in. I know that sounds like such a weird complaint, but it accurately describes why it's throwing me off a little. The synopsis gives the story of Rue's mom being murdered, and then a dad that she's never met before whisks her off to a magical world of Ghizon. The beginning of the story starts off with Rue sneaking back to her old home from Ghizon in order to give her sister a present, and then things happened. I was just kind of confused. I think if the story had gone in the order of events, I would have had a much better understanding of Rue and the workings of Ghizon. I just think the story could have been told in a way that makes more sense, or there's more character connection.
My thoughts could change, I'm only 30% in it. So far, it's not living up to the hype for me, and I hate that.
