Title: The Dating Plan
Author: Sara Desai
Published by: Berkley Books
Released: March 16, 2021

Synopsis: Daisy Patel is a software engineer who understands lists and logic better than bosses and boyfriends. With her life all planned out, and no interest in love, the one thing she can't give her family is the marriage they expect. Left with few options, she asks her childhood crush to be her decoy fiance.
Liam Murphy is a venture capitalist with something to prove. When he learns that his inheritance is contingent on being married, he realizes his best friend's little sister has the perfect solution to his problem. A marriage of convenience will get Daisy's matchmaking relatives off her back and fulfill the terms of his late grandfather's will. If only he hadn't broken her tender teenage heart nine years ago...
Sparks fly when Daisy and Liam go on a series of dates to legitimize their fake relationship. Too late, they realize that very little is convenient about their arrangement. History and chemistry aren't about to follow the rules of this engagement. (Synopsis from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: Cute! I love Fake Dating stories. I love Marriage of Convenience plots. This book just called to me on so many levels. Plus, the cover is so pretty and lilac. It doesn't take a lot to get me.
The story inside delivered on everything that I had been promised. I just had a really good time reading this. It was exactly the kind of book that I needed.
I loved seeing the relationship turn from fake to real. They definitely had some issues to work out. The past reared its ugly head quite a few times. Daisy is very good at holding a grudge, and whipping out that card anytime she feels like it. Liam has some stuff that he does need to grovel for.
I liked how smart Daisy is. She's very impressive at what she does, but she's not intimidating.
This book was just really cute and I can't wait to read more stuff by Sara Desai. If you're looking for something romantic and feel good, I'd definitely say give this book a shot.
