My Thoughts: The synopsis for this one really caught my attention. I'm always ready for a dark and twisty tale.

This was a lot of fun to read. It kept me on the edge of my seat, constantly turning the pages.

I really enjoyed Anna as a main character. She had great depth and was fun to follow.

I think a lot of people will enjoy this one. It should definitely be added to all the thriller tbr piles.

 Nicola Solvinic has a master's degree in criminology and has worked in and around criminal justice for more than a decade. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and cats, where she is surrounded by a secret garden full of beehives.

My Thoughts: A fantasy romance on the high seas is so much fun! Give me that horizon.

I've read a few of Katee Robert's other books, and they've always delivered what they promised too. Blood on the Tide is no different in that way. If you're looking for some romance, you'll get it with this one.

This series is fun because it incorporates different creatures into this seafaring adventure. Our main character is a vampire and we have a rescued selkie.

I can see a lot of people enjoying this one.

The cover is really fun too.

My Thoughts: I was captivated by the synopsis for this story right away. I love books about books and libraries. I also love a good gothic story. There were a lot of things that captured my eye when it came to this book.

I really enjoyed following and seeing where this story was going to go. It covered a lot of interesting topics. I really enjoyed the book binding parts. I was also a sucker for the mystery. I can't stand not knowing the what, why, and who.

I enjoyed this one. I can see a lot of other people liking it too.

My Thoughts: I really enjoy generational stories and historical novels, so I had a good time reading Their Divine Fires. If you like books the delve into history, then you'll enjoy this one.

This book packs in a bunch of history, especially considering how short it was. I didn't have knowledge on some of the events covered, and the story doesn't really go into an explanation. Luckily it's easy to look stuff up.

I can see a lot of people enjoying this one. I'm glad I got to read it.

 

Wendy Chen is the author of the award-winning poetry collection Unearthings. Her short stories, creative nonfiction, translations, and reviews have appeared widely including Freeman’s, A Public Space, North American Review, and American Poets. Her work has been translated into multiple languages and has been adapted into musical compositions.

Chen is also the prose editor of Tupelo Press, editor of Figure 1 and associate editor-in-chief of Tupelo Quarterly. She is the recipient of the Academy of American Poets Most Promising Young Poet Prize. Chen earned her MFA in creative writing from Syracuse University and her PhD in English from the University of Denver. She teaches creative writing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

My Thoughts: This was cute and I really enjoyed it. I'm always game for a romance. Maggie had some hard decisions to make in this one. If you are a fan of the love triangle trope and friends to lovers, then this one is definitely for you!

Maggie has some great friends, they might have been one of the best parts of the story, but they definitely put some pressure on her to find a date. I really liked Maggie's journey in this. I won't say that I always agreed with everything she did, but I was always interested in what was going to happen for her next. 

I can see a lot of people enjoying this one. If you're craving a cute romance, I'd say read it.

My Thoughts: The very first thing that drew me to this book was the pretty cover. It got me. The synopsis also sounded interesting, so I added it to my reading list.

Books involving war can be hit or miss for me. I'd not read much about the Napoleonic Wars though, so that was interesting.

I enjoyed the story of the two sisters who were separated at birth. I liked seeing both of their lives apart and eventually together.

I also enjoyed the way that flowers played such a big part in their stories.

I enjoyed reading this story and I could see a lot of other people liking it too.

Hester Fox is a full-time writer and mother, with a background in museum work and historical archaeology. She lives in New England with her husband and their two children.

My Thoughts: This was cute and I enjoyed it. It deals with some heavy topics, but it makes the characters feel more real for it.

Klara has Type 1 diabetes and some other personality quirks, which can make her feel very different. I enjoyed reading about a character who can struggle with fitting in. I think it's important to celebrate what makes you unique in this world and that it's never something to feel bad about.

Alex is dealing with a lot of grief, which also felt like very important to showcase in a book.

I liked how Klara and Alex helped each other, they were exactly what the other needed.

I also really enjoyed that this story was set in Sweden. The only real books I'd read set in Sweden before had all been books about mystery and murder, so it was nice reading a book about two people coming together.

This is a slower read, but it's definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed this one, and I think a lot of other people would enjoy it too.

 

Ally Zetterberg is a British-Swedish writer. She spent ten years working internationally as a fashion model before turning to writing. Being neurodivergent herself and the mother of a child with Type 1 Diabetes, she is passionate about creating relatable characters and representing those living with medical conditions in her work. She speaks four languages and does her best not to muddle them up.
