My Thoughts: I enjoyed this book. It was a book that I was always interested to pick up and continue reading. This is a story all about sisters, their relationships and secrets. I really enjoyed that aspect of it. There were some relationships, some mystery, and some secrets. This was a thing that I had a good time reading.

This is an easy add to anyone's TBR pile. It was a low stress kind of book, which was just nice to read. I'm glad I got to read it.

My Thoughts: I love historical romance. It's so fun. There is nothing like that banter and watching two people fall in love.

The premise for The Rake's Daughter is what sold me in the beginning. I just loved the sound of it, the idea of it. I had a lot of fun with this novel. Izzy and Leo got on each other's nerves a lot, which was very enjoyable. I also really enjoyed how Izzy gave it right back to Leo in some situations.

I enjoyed the romance. It wasn't crazy or excessive, but it was nice. I do wish Leo would have figured his stuff out sooner.

I definitely want to read more in this series. I had a lot of fun with it.

My Thoughts: As soon as I read this synopsis, I knew I had to read the book. I can't say no to starting new series. Gothic is such an interesting place. Secrets abound there, and I can't wait to find out more.

I really enjoyed the mystery of it all. Elle has just barely escaped death, but she's lost her memory. She has to piece together who tried to kill her.

Adam rescues Elle and nurses her back to health. They fall for each other.

I enjoyed this one. I thought it was a fun, mystery read. It was a good time.

What I'm Reading Right Now! is...

The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling -- I'm enjoying this spooky read. My reading has kind of slowed down a little, which I'm not happy with, but it isn't because of this book. 

I've read one other thing by Caitlin Starling, The Luminous Dead, and I enjoyed that one too. 

This one is a gothic horror. It definitely has me interested as to what is actually happening and going on.

My Thoughts: This is not my usual type of read, but I enjoyed it. It introduced me to topics and subjects that I wasn't familiar with. I loved learning and experiencing something new.

This book is a great experience. It covers a lot of topics. I'd definitely recommend giving it a read.

 

 

 

 

 

Oscar Hokeah is a citizen of Cherokee Nation and the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma from his mother's side and has Latinx heritage through his father. He holds an MA in English with a concentration in Native American Literature from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a BFA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), with a minor in Indigenous Liberal Studies. He is a recipient of the Truman Capote Scholarship Award through IAIA and is also a winner of the Native Writer Award through the Taos Summer Writers Conference. His short stories have been published in South Dakota Review, American Short Fiction, Yellow Medicine Review, Surreal South, and Red Ink Magazine. He works with Indian Child Welfare in Tahlequah.
