My Thoughts: I'm always a sucker for vampire books. Yes, I made what could be considered a pun. Vampire Weekend is taking a different track when it comes to our undead gang. This vampire is punk! She also has a night job because she has to make money somehow.

I really enjoyed this one. I had a lot of fun reading it. I liked exploring this vampire world.

Louise was great to follow. I had a good time with this one.

If you like vampire books, definitely check this one out and give it a read.

My Thoughts: I really liked the synopsis for this, it really caught my attention. In honesty, I was interested as soon as I heard the title and saw the cover. As magical as this book sounds, parts of it seem a little strange. 

This was an interesting little story. I was very interested to see where it was all going to go.

Myra was an interesting case. I don't know if I completely got her character.

I did like Alex, and how the two of them came together through this mini mansion.

This was an interesting read that I enjoyed.

 Audrey Burges writes novels, humor, short fiction, and essays in Richmond, Virginia. Her presence is tolerated by her two rambunctious children and very patient husband, all of whom have become practiced at making supportive faces when she shouts, “listen to this sentence!” She is a frequent contributor to numerous humor outlets, including McSweeney’s, and her stories and essays have appeared in Pithead Chapel, Cease, Cows, and lengthy diatribes in the Notes app on her phone. Audrey was born and raised in Arizona by her linguist parents, which is a lot like being raised by wolves, but with better grammar. She moved to Virginia as an adult but still carries mountains and canyons in her heart, and sometimes, when she closes her eyes, she can still smell ponderosa pines in the sun.

My Thoughts: I enjoyed this one! I'm always ready for a thriller to jump into. I've read other things by Mary Kubica and have enjoyed them. I think she's a solid thriller author. 

I was definitely interested in what was going on in this one. I loved all the twists and turns in this one. My head kept spinning. I couldn't wait to reach the end and see where everything was going to go.

If this one sounds good to you, I'd definitely add it to your TBR.

My Thoughts: I love these kinds of stories! I read a lot of dark stuff, but the rom-coms have a tight grip on me too. This one was very fun, very cute. I liked our main characters of Tara and Trevor. I liked the whole concept of Tara trying to find The One by revisiting her exes. Then we have the forced proximity trope, which is always a good one.

I just had a good time with this one. It was exactly what I was looking for.

 Amy Lea is an Asian Canadian government analyst who runs the Bookstagram account @amyleabooks, where she promotes and reviews contemporary romance novels. Set on You is her debut novel.

My Thoughts: This was cute. I always love a twin story. 

Canada has a prince, who knew!? I wasn't expecting that.We also have a Montana Cowboy. I also was intrigued by the long-lost twin angle. They were definitely fun ideas to add to this story.

I enjoyed reading this story. It was fun.

My Thoughts: I love stories like this. As soon as I saw the cover, I was sold. I loved the world that this was set in. It was really well done.

This was a great start to a duology. It's the kind of YA Fantasy that you always want to read.

I really enjoyed the main character of Naira and her family. She could be a little rash sometimes, but she was determined to do all she could to save her home.

I had a good time with this story, and I could see other people having a good time reading it too.

My Thoughts: As soon as I read the synopsis and saw the cover, I knew I wanted to read Unseelie. I cannot say no to a fae story. I really enjoyed this one. It gave me everything I wanted.

I liked the twin aspect. I also enjoyed reading from a character who has autism.

I just really enjoyed the story overall. I'm glad I got to read it. 

 

Ivelisse Housman is a Puerto Rican-American author and illustrator. At all seven schools she attended throughout her childhood, she was infamously “that kid who gets in trouble for reading during class, but refuses to stop.” She was diagnosed with autism at 15, which made everything make a lot more sense. When she isn't writing, she can be found making soup or tending to her houseplants. She lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her high school sweetheart/archnemesis and their two rescue dogs.
