Echoes
By Alice Reeds
Release Date: August 7, 2018
Published by: Entangled Teen

Summary: They wake on a deserted island. Fiona and Miles, high school enemies now stranded together. No memory of how they got there. No plan to follow, no hope to hold on to.

Each step forward reveals the mystery behind the forces that brought them here. And soon, the most chilling discovery: something else is on the island with them.

Something that won't let them leave alive. (Synopsis taken from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: YAAAASSSS! I really liked this one. As soon as I read the synopsis, I knew I had to get my hands on it. I love deserted island, danger, mystery stories. Deserted Islands always bring me in mind to Lost, and I loved Lost, especially Sawyer. The synopsis for Echoes is kind of vague, so I didn't know exactly what I was going into. Having read it, I still don't really know what I got myself into. I enjoyed the whole experience of it though. There was mystery and danger, with a sprinkling of romance.
Our main character's memories are a little cloudy, so the reader is trying to piece everything together with her. It made for a really fun reading journey.
The ending might not be the best for everybody, especially those that like closure. Neat tidy bows wrapping up the package. I hope that maybe Alice Reeds will have something more down the road, maybe something that answers questions.
I'd recommend this 100%. If you like twisty, turny, mysterious, what-the-heck-is-going-on feelings, then I think you'll love this one. Echoes will keep you on the edge of your seat and pulling out your hair. It's a good time.
